Jon Bellion is a 23-year-old singer/songwriter and producer from New York who makes contemporary pop that mixes RandB, hip-hop, and indie rock influences. After beginning his career as a songwriter, Bellion signed to Visionary Music Group, an independent label based out of New York, in August of 2012. Jon's sound is an eclectic mix of pop, hip hop, rap and soul, citing musical influences like Andre 3000 and Kanye West.
Jon's first mixtape "Translations Through Speakers," was released in February 2013. The project, distributed independently through VMG, has reached over 20,000 downloads. The four singles off the project -- "LIFE," "Paper Planes," "The Wonder Years," and "Dead Man Walking" -- have gained over 1.1 million plays via YouTube.
The first single off his second mixtape, "Ungrateful Eyes," gained over 100,000 views in the first 24 hours of its release. "Ungrateful Eyes" was followed by "One More Time" and "New York Soul," which have both been received very well in a short period of time. Focused on developing a movement through his music Jon has developed an incredibly unique lane untouched by anyone. Bellion released his new album “The Definition” for free on September 23rd.
